Windows (Retail Key) — an official activation key that unlocks all Windows features permanently. The license activates online and links to your Microsoft account, so it remains valid even after reinstalling the system. Suitable for both personal and professional use.
Product Key — a 25-character code that looks like this:
PRODUCT KEY: XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX
During installation, you’ll be prompted to enter the product key. You can also activate it later at any time:
Start ► Settings ► System ► Activation ► Update product key ► Change product key.
Edition: Retail — binds to your Microsoft account and stays active after system reinstallation.
